PACE 4 Maps
View global maps on your PACE 4: the same street and trail names, points of interest, and offline map coverage found on APEX 4, NOMAD, and PACE Pro. Instead of just following a line with breadcrumb navigation, you can now see exactly where you are, what's around you, and make confident decisions on the fly, even off the beaten path.
Emojis
The most-used emojis worldwide can now show up right on your watch, so a notification reads the way it was meant to.

Cycling VO2Max
Your cycling fitness now gets a deeper level of insight. Cycling VO2 Max is calculated from your riding data and displayed on your watch and your FTP card in the app. This gives you a fuller picture of your aerobic engine beyond FTP alone, and a way to track cycling fitness trends over time.
Easier to Use Run Start Menus
Pre-run settings are now easier to adjust from the start screen. Related settings are grouped together, so options that work together are easy to find. The settings used most often for each run mode appear near the top, like Navigation in Trail Run mode, or Activity Alerts for regular Run mode. This cuts down on scrolling and searching, so you can start your run faster.
And plenty more.
- Passcode support added for PACE 3, APEX 2 / 2 Pro, VERTIX 2 / 2S
- Hill Alert classification update: Trail Running routes now use a stricter grade threshold than Road Running routes. A climb must reach 3% grade to be labeled, compared to 2% for Road Running.
- Effort Pace algorithm optimizations: Effort Pace now detects walking versus running to more accurately reflect effort. Walking will produce a less inflated pace on both uphill and downhill grades. On downhill grades of -10% or steeper, running will now produce a faster Effort Pace, reflecting the added load of steep downhill running.
- Battery Health page optimizations in the app
- Storm Alerts added to DURA and Lap Torque data metric added for cycling activities
- Maximum HR detection during run workouts: If your HR during a run indicates your max HR may be higher than the current value in your profile, you'll have the option to accept this updated measurement and apply it to your settings for more accurate fitness data going forward.
